The Lithies homes are perched on the rim of the 1400 foot-high caldera wall and are fully integrated into the terraced cliffs. Out of this surrounding tiered landscape have been crafted three distinct terraces where our guests may enjoy breakfast, sunbathing, or listening to music and sipping a glass of wine while gazing at a spectacular view!
The three homes, Zephyr, Iris, and Eros, share a generous terrace that links all three and offers sweeping views of the caldera and the volcano. Each home has its own little patio space with a sculptured marble-top table and two chairs. In addition to that, each home has a designated part of the terrace with its own wooden table with umbrella and four chairs right next to our blue-tiled swimming pool. Guests may be served their breakfast in any one of these two areas.
Going up a flight of stairs from the main terrace is a curved veranda perched on the edge of a sheer white rock, just adjacent to the Bar Area and Reception Office. The view from here is magnificent! Comfortable chairs under umbrellas offer guests the most unique spot to relax and meditate while enjoying breathtaking sunsets in a peaceful coexistence with the calming sounds of the wind and the ocean.
Just in front of the main terrace and swimming pool area, a few steps down, lays a separate terrace at the edge of the cliff. There are additional lounge chairs to sunbath and cafe tables with chairs placed along the side of a low stone wall overlooking the caldera to sip a cup of coffee or a glass of wine.
Lithies Traditional Homes offer an unforgettable romantic experience for your wedding and honeymoon!
The smallest home and most picturesque of all is dedicated to god Eros, the handsome god of love who, according to one tradition, was the son of Zephyr and Iris. On specific occasions, and at no extra cost to our guests, House Eros may be transformed into a Honeymoon Suite with a romantic flair and a quaint charm that incorporates distinctive features of Greek indigenous wedding motifs.
Upon request, any one of the four Lithies homes may be transformed into a Honeymoon Suite.
The bedroom is decorated with an all white traditional bedspread and a white swag of fabric to create a romantic draped canopy bed. Rose petals and fresh flowers create a romantic mood. Upon their arrival, newlyweds are offered champagne and "koufeto" (honey mixed with almonds) that is traditionally served, according to local wedding custom in Santorini, to the guests just before the wedding ceremony, when the groom and his family visit the bride's home to escort her to church. A bottle of Champagne is also offered as a wedding present to the newlyweds.
Homes are situated in Firostefani, one of the most picturesque and peaceful villages in Santorini. The serenity and quietude of Firostefani has been preserved by an unwritten law all local hotels and tourist establishments abide by and that is to engage at all times in a behavior that is respectful of the surroundings and of guests who have come here seeking an undisturbed, relaxing vacation.
With that in mind, our policy is to accommodate guests with children twelve years of age or older. We further ask our guests with children to be mindful of other's desire for peace and quiet. In this serene architectural milieu, children must be respectful of our guests who may be enjoying a quiet sunbathing or experiencing a tranquil sunset surrounded by the calming sounds of the wind and the ocean.
Thanks for your message! We will get back to you as soon as possible!
